Lead Me Home
by Meg Blanchet
I hold my heart, her mysteries, all her longings and her love,
I’m walking blind in the dark, but trusting God above
Oh how deep within my bosom lives the wisdom of the One
If I can only hear her voice I know she’ll lead me home.
Untangling the imprints and the cords from all my past
I work to wipe the slate clean to make room for what can last.
Being fully in the now, can I trust my eyes to see?
Taking smaller steps, breathing, trusting what can be.
I hold a vision in my heart. I know this can be true.
To share a lasting love, late in life but all anew.
To take the wisdom of experience and apply it at this age
Free from fear, or imposing the past upon this stage.
Unfettered by old scars, anger, grief, blame or withholding
I am offering my heart to the future for safe holding.
I know she leads me on, I know there is safe harbor,
To unwrap this soul’s true purpose and share it with sweet ardor.
I hold my heart: her mysteries, love, and all her longings.
Blindly & with trust, I feel and know my belonging.
Oh how deep her wisdom, connected with the One
I am listening to her voice: I know she leads me home.
